Pyunik FC half-back Erik Vardanyan will continue his career in the Russian FC Sochi.
A well-informed source has reported that the 21-year-old football player’s contract with the Russian Premier League team will come into force on January 1, 2020.
This September Vardanyan was on the point joining Lokomotiv. But the parties failed to come to terms on a private contract with the player in Moscow. On November 1, Erik was disqualified at the Armenia football championship until April 30, 2020, for “insulting and hitting the referee, breaking the door of the stadium dressing room, as well as, for unsportsmanlike behaviour.”
Erik Vardanyan played 69 matches for Pyunik, with 13 scored goals and ten assists.
Alexander Karapetyan, forward of the Armenia national football team, is paying for the Sochi FC as well.
