Freedom House has released its Freedom on the Net 2019 report, with Armenia ranking as “free” (76/100), on a level with the U.S., Great Britain and Australia. Armenia has even left Italy and Japan behind.
Among the former Soviet republics (except for Baltic States) Armenia has left all the others behind. The rankings prove Armenia and Georgia are the only countries with free Internet access.
Azerbaijan’s ranking is 39/100, with its “big brother”, Erdogan-led Turkey following it (37/100). Russia is even lower (31/100).
