Russian FM Sergey Lavrov has gone on a 2-day visit to Azerbaijan. He is to hold a number of meetings with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov.
The meeting agenda includes the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“A settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is one of the priorities of Russia’s foreign policy and is constantly the center of the Russian president’s attention. The conflict can only be settled by political and diplomatic means, through a dialogue between the parties,” Lavrov said.
