Today the Secretary of the States Relations of the Holy See, Arch. Paul Richard Gallagher arrived in Armenia on an official visit. He visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and paid tribute to the memory of the Genocide victims.
The Archbishop was welcomed by RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. They discussed bilateral relations between Armenia and the Vatican.
Mnatsakanyan made a statement stating that he would like to deepen relations between Armenia and the Holy See and added that the Armenians are grateful to the Pope of Rome for a principled and unambiguous position on the Armenian Genocide recognition.
