“Long live Armenia, which will come tomorrow.”
Today, almost every Armenian knows this expression, but not everyone remembers who said it. He is a national hero of our country, a man who did not live up to independence, but made a huge contribution to its achievement-Movses Gorgisyan.
Movses Gorgisyan was director by profession and also was a leader in spirit. On May 28, 1988, it was Gorgisyan who first waved the Armenian tricolor in Freedom square.
A year later, he will become one of the founders of the “Independence army”, will spend six months in custody, and on January 19, 1990, participating in self-defense operations Yeraskh with volunteers, fall from an enemy bullet:
During the 28 years of his life, Gorgisyan managed to do a lot. And Armenia that came today, remembers its hero.
